Founded by Phil Rotherham, Rotherham Construction, Inc., has operated in Montana since 1994.  When Phil retired in 2022, long term employees Nick Morasko, Mark Tholander, and Dan Jessee acquired the company and continue to carry on the traditions of detail oriented, quality construction that Rotherham Construction was founded on more than 30 years ago.

Nick Morasko

Partner & Chief Executive Officer

A Montana native with a deep-rooted passion for hard work, family, and adventure, Nick Morasko is a partner and Chief Executive Officer of Rotherham Construction, Inc. Starting his career in the construction industry in 2001, Nick has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s success through leadership, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.

Nick’s journey began after playing football for Montana State University where he was voted team captain and earned All-American honors. This is where he developed the discipline and teamwork that now defines his leadership style. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University. After 5 years with The Whiting- Turner Contracting Company based out of Denver, he returned to Montana to continue his career with Rotherham Construction in 2006. Nick led projects as a Project Manager and Superintendent, then Senior Project Manager before stepping into his current role as Chief Executive Officer. His expertise in project management, operations, and strategic growth has strengthened Rotherham Construction’s reputation as a trusted leader in the commercial construction industry.

Today, Nick continues to drive the company forward while raising his children Ben, Zach and Courtney alongside his wife Carrie with the same love for family, sports, and adventure that Montana has instilled in him.

Mark Tholander

Partner & Chief Business Officer

With a career spanning over two decades in the construction industry, Mark Tholander brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and innovation as a partner and Chief Business Officer of Rotherham Construction, Inc. His journey has taken him from managing large-scale subdivision developments to overseeing complex commercial construction operations, making him a key driver of the company’s continued success. Another proud alumnus of Montana State University, Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology. Before joining Rotherham, Mark honed his expertise as a Project Superintendent with Centex/Pulte Homes building large scale master planned communities from land development through to vertical construction, and later as a Senior Project Manager in Tesla’s Solar Division, where he helped advance innovative renewable energy integration within the new home construction industry across multiple market locations. Since 2016, he has been a cornerstone of Rotherham Construction, rising from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager before stepping into his current leadership role as Chief Business Officer.

Beyond the job site, Mark and his family share a passion for adventure outdoors. Whether snowboarding in Montana’s backcountry, dirt biking single track trails across high altitude mountain landscapes or exploring the country in search of remote camping locations, they embrace a lifestyle fueled by the same passion and resilience that define Mark’s professional career. 

Dan Jessee

Partner & Chief Operating Officer

With over 30 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, Dan Jessee has built a reputation for excellence, specializing in multifamily development projects across the Pacific Northwest. As a partner and Chief Operating Officer of Rotherham Construction, he is instrumental in driving operational success, fostering a culture of service, and ensuring that every project upholds the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship while driving savings through precision management and efficient processes. 

Dan’s expertise spans every level of construction, from hands-on craftsmanship to large-scale project leadership. Since joining Rotherham in 2015, he has risen through the ranks from Superintendent to Senior Superintendent before becoming a partner in 2022. Prior to Rotherham, he refined his skills as a Lead Framer with Twin Oaks Construction Commercial, a Superintendent with Summerplace Homes and as a Superintendent with Gerding Builders. His depth of knowledge in multifamily development has been a cornerstone of Rotherham’s continued growth and success.

Since relocating to Montana in 2014 from the beautiful rainforests of Washington State, Dan has fully embraced the untamed spirit of the West. When he’s not leading projects, he’s chasing elk through rugged backcountry, reeling in walleye on remote waters, and pushing the boundaries of the wild alongside his wife, Linda; living the Montana way of life with relentless passion and adventure.
